Counting on the power of dreams.
In the bible do we see many dreamers, idealists and prophetic voices.
Many of their dreams seemed irrelevant, unrealistic and sometimes even foolish.
You had man and woman who dreamed of better times, freedom.
People who dreamed of a promised land, a place to call home.
Some dreamed to become a king, other dreamed of the messiah to come.
One even dreamed about a major flood and build a boat on dry land.
Years decades or even centuries their dreams became reality.
No matter how many people mocked them, called them names or laughed about their dreams.
Some people did not even see the result and outcome of their dreams.
Generations after them harvested the fruit of the dreams of years ago.
How is it these days?
Are there still dreamers among the Christian church?
Many of the dreamers of today still face the same attitude of their fellow Jesus followers as the dreamers before them.
They are mocked and laughed at, called names and people do not hesitate to tell them how unrealistic and irrelevant they and their dreams are.
Still there can be a power in dreams; dreams can come form God, manifesting His power and presence.
I choose to count on the power of dreams, knowing that if they are from God perseverance and confirmation will bring the dream to reality.
And you do you want to count on the power of dreams too?
Dreams can give you hope to carry on, dreams give you vision, can help you to keep on laboring in the Kingdom of the Almighty one.
God is a dreamer too, His dream is a family to call his own, saved by his Son, Jesus, guided by His Spirit.
Who dream with Him for that Land, that New Jerusalem that is waiting for the time of fulfillment of all God given dreams.
